Ruby Marchand is a global Artists & Repertoire executive who has discovered, developed and nurtured recording artists across a multitude of genres during her career at Warner Music. As VP of A&R at Warner Music International for 25 years, she worked with prominent and emerging artists throughout Europe, Latin America, Canada and Asia Pacific. After that, she served as Head of A&R when Warner purchased the indie label, Ryko, where she signed artists including Keb′ Mo′, Will Hoge, Fran Healy, Allison Moorer, and the Posies. Currently, Ruby runs the International Repertoire Initiative and oversees Revenue Assurance for Warner Music Group.
Ruby serves as Vice Chair of the Recording Academy (home of the Grammy Awards) where she sits on or co-chairs many national committees. Based in New York, Ruby chaired the annual Chapter event, Grammy Career Day, for over a decade, helping to inspire over 7500 high school students to consider careers in the music industry after finishing college. Ruby serves as Executive-in-Residence and is an Adjunct Professor at NYU Steinhardt’s Music Business Program.
